The book "One day in a life "was written by Ivan Densovic. This book was first published in November of 1962 in Soviet. This book is about a whole day of Alexander Solzhenitsyn life describing everything that happened when he was in prison and in the camp that he was in.. Alexander Solzhenitsyn is the protagonist of the book.  Alexander Solzhenitsyn was born in Russia and he was born in December 11 1918. His father died in an accident before he was born. He excelled in school and Rostov University and Moscou state University. He was arrested in 1945 for writing a letter to a friend telling bad comments of the communist party. He spent 8 years in labor camps, and three in exile. He wrote several books about prisions experience that he had in that time. He continued to write more books and in 1968 he wrote the first circle, and the book "Cancer ward" and in 1970 he was awarded a nobel prize for literature. After that he continued to write more about historical events and in 1973 he wrote the book called "The Gulag Archipelago". Then he finally stayed in St. Petersburg where he continued to write books.
 

I chose this pictures because one is the cover of the book and the other one is a photo of Alexander Solzhenitsyn.
